I read pretty much anything, from fantasy (City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett) to romance (Bared to You by Sylvia Day) to classics (Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad).  The only genres I don't read are self-help and comic books/graphic novels.

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3) by Cassandra Clare

City of Glass - Cassandra Clare

I love the fact that Clary is a strong, exceptionally talented Shadowhunter. She's special, and often the only one who can save the day. I was annoyed with the death of such a young child and thought that it was unneccesary to keep the plot moving along. The Lightwood family didn't need this death to motivate them to action, they were ready and willing to fight to the death without a death of their own. I think it would have been better for Isabelle to walk in on Sebastian about to commit murder, she screams then he knocks her out, but has to run because people have heard the commotion. Anyway, highly recommended, can't wait for the 4th book.
