I read pretty much anything, from fantasy (City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett) to romance (Bared to You by Sylvia Day) to classics (Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad). The only genres I don't read are self-help and comic books/graphic novels.
I love it when one of my favourite cookbook authors puts out a new book - I carefully remove it from the packaging and read it cover to cover, like a novel except with the most amazing, appetite stimulating pictures imaginable. Barefoot Contessa Foolproof is no different - beautiful shiny paper, full page colour photos and easy to follow recipes that are replicable from as far away from the Hamptons (Ina's home) as Australia is. I highly recommend all of her books for great recipes and a wonderful atmosphere that just makes you want to churn out biscuits, cakes and roasts till the fridge and pantry are bursting.
