I read pretty much anything, from fantasy (City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett) to romance (Bared to You by Sylvia Day) to classics (Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad). The only genres I don't read are self-help and comic books/graphic novels.
28/08 - A sweet, sexy romance that stole my breath a few times. I've always loved romances set in Scotland - with the roaring fires, the accents, the lush nature and the history - it sounds like a perfect place to fall in love. I always enjoy a story that involves someone becoming more supernaturally powerful (or physically etc, but it was supernaturally in this book) than was expected (like in Buffy or The Obernewtyn Chronicles) - Juliette starts out with the powers of healing and conntrol of the weather, but then when in the right (or wrong) circumstances she pushes herself past her preconceived limits and does something astonishing, that not even the angels have seen before. I hope that she continues to grow in the future books. From what happened in the epilogue I'm assuming that the next book will be Azrael's and I can't wait to read that because from the first two books he doesn't really seem the romance-book-kind-of-angel, hopefully when he sees his archess he won't terrify her too much.
