I read pretty much anything, from fantasy (City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett) to romance (Bared to You by Sylvia Day) to classics (Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad).  The only genres I don't read are self-help and comic books/graphic novels.

Upon the Midnight Clear (Dream-Hunter, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Upon the Midnight Clear - Sherrilyn Kenyon

12/10 - This book was not bad, it was average - a little dull. It was way too short and the publisher had used large type so if it had been the same size as most other books there would barely have been 200 pages (a pretty short book in my opinion). I don't think it was written nearly as well as some of Kenyon's other books, that I read prior to this one, like Acheron or The Dream-Hunter. Kenyon seemed to think she had to constantly explain why the main characters were thinking what they were thinking, despite having already explained it a couple of pages earlier. It got a bit tedious, I started to find myself saying "I know why you feel like this, it was explained in the last chapter." as I was reading along. The romance wasn't nearly as good as - only one and a half sex scenes with a few words, but no action. This book wasn't what I was expecting after two of her more recent books, hopefully I won't be disappointed with the next one I read.
