I read pretty much anything, from fantasy (City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett) to romance (Bared to You by Sylvia Day) to classics (Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad). The only genres I don't read are self-help and comic books/graphic novels.
1/2 - That rating is really 3.5 as I didn't enjoy the battle nearly as much as the one in Sharpe's Tiger. In fact I found it quite tedious and ended up skipping a number of pages that concerned the placements of Wellesley's troops (not highly exciting, as I couldn't imagine any of it in my mind). I just looked for appearances of McCandless or Sharpe in the pages and read of their involvement. I was quite annoyed at the start to read that bloody [Hakeswill hadn't been eaten by the tigers (hide spoiler)] because they weren't hungry, but was cheered up when he got stepped on by an elephant and squashed to death (no question about his death this time).
